Nineveh…

I posted this two years ago and thought this would be a good day to re-post it. May God bless you all this holy day and for the holy season of Lent.
The Joy of Penance
Jonah began to go into the city, going a day’s walk. And he cried out, “Forty days more, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” And the people of Nineveh believed God; they proclaimed a fast, and everyone, great and small, put on sackcloth. When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil ways, God changed his mind about the calamity that he had said he would bring upon them, and he did not do it. (Jonah 3:4-5, 10)
Scripture does not give a detailed account of the wicked deeds that called down God’s wrath upon the Ninevites. It is hard to imagine a more wicked age than the one we live in, although perhaps all generations have felt the same way. One thing is certain, God cannot be pleased by what he sees. Preghiera per liberare 15 anime del Purgatorio : SENTIMENTI DI MARIA SANTISSIMA ADDOLORATA La seguente devozione è stata trovata in una cappella in Polonia sopra una tabella. Fu approvata da Innocenzo XI, il quale concesse la liberazione di quindici anime del Purgatorio ogni volta che si reciterà. Lo stesso fu confermata da Clemente III. La stessa liberazione ( di quindici anime del Purgatorio ) ogni volta che si reciterà questa orazione, fu confermata da Benedetto XIV con indulgenza plenaria. La stessa concessione fu confermata da Pio IX con l'aggiunta di altri 100 giorni d'indulgenza. Data nel dicembre 1847. Neanche in Corea del Nord. Terza puntata delle fake news di Viganò. A quando le dimissioni? Mons.Viganò è stato praticamente mollato da tutti: persino dai fedelissimi corifei dell'attuale corso (v. QUI ;  gli altri post di MiL sulla figuraccia planetaria : QUI ; QUI e QUI ). Ora è possibile leggere il testo completo della lettera di Benedetto XVI , censurato da Mons.Viganò, anche su : Il Sismografo QUI ; Avvenir e QUI ; Agenzia Sir QUI ;  Vatican Insider QUI ; Vatican News QUI ecc ecc. Eppure il Prefetto della Segreteria per la Comunicazione, mons.
