Emmerich prophesied 200 years ago about the Pope Benedict XVI forced resignation

First, the specific prophesy:
October 7, 1820
“As I was going through Rome with St. Francis and the other saint, we saw a great palace engulfed in flames from top to bottom. I was very much afraid that the occupants would be burned to death because no one came forward to put out the fire. As we came nearer, however, the fire abated and we saw the blackened building. We went through a number of magnificent rooms (untouched by the fire), and we finally reached the Pope. He was sitting in the dark and slept in a large arm-chair. He was very ill and weak; he could no longer walk. The ecclesiastics in the inner circle looked insincere and lacking in zeal; I did not like them. I told the Pope of the bishops who are to be appointed soon. I told him also that he must not leave Rome. If he did so, it would be chaos. He thought that the evil was inevitable and that he should leave in order to save many things beside himself. He was very much inclined to leave Rome, and he was insistently urged to do so. The Pope is still attached to the things of this earth in many ways…”

“The Church is completely isolated and as if completely deserted. It seems that everyone is running away. Everywhere I see great misery, hatred, treason, rancor, confusion and utter blindness. O city! O city! What is threatening thee? The storm is coming, do be watchful!…”
Let us look at several key statements:
1) “I told him also that he must not leave Rome” – leaving Rome is not limited to a physical interpretation, although Pope Benedict XVI did literally leave for a time. He currently lives in Rome, in the Vatican city state, but is outside of Rome as regards to his pontificate, having no authority, but only practically and apparently because most of the Church believes the resignation was valid.
2) “If he did so, it would be chaos” – look at the fruits of Francis ‘pontificate.’ Confusion of most, spewing of various heresies (such as the Abu Dahbi statement of indifferentism) and utter refusal to provide clear doctrinal teaching. And the Freemasonic motto of “order out of chaos” applies here, as the religion of Antichrist worship, based on indifferentism (all religions are just different means to God), is being formed by Francis. That is the order of the devil.
3) “He thought that the evil was inevitable and that he should leave in order to save many things beside himself. He was very much inclined to leave Rome, and he was insistently urged to do so.” – notice the insistent urging, the heavy pressure, under duress. Notice the mindset that running away will save things, not what a strong shepherd, with a clear mind in peace, does.
4) “The Pope is still attached to the things of this earth in many ways…” – this shows his human weakness, not unlike the first Pope, St. Peter. This also explains his refusal to speak out today.
5) “Everywhere I see great misery, hatred, treason, rancor, confusion and utter blindness” – Francis’ hatred of the faith and faithful Catholics is clear to any who are not papolators, of which there are many within the Church. Treason against God and the faith is evidenced by heresies like Holy Communion for adulterers. Rancor between the modernists and faithful Catholics, and even between generally faithful Catholics over Francis’ utterances, most commonly “this is what he really meant in spite of what he said.” Confusion is obvious to anyone who simply reads the news since March 2013, when Francis stole the Throne of Peter, praised by Freemasons then and now. Read this for a good analysis of the latest Abu Dhabi fiasco. And utter blindness of most Catholics who don’t even notice. The secular world notices in their blindness to truth, and praises Francis for the most part, because their sins are approved. Woe to those whom the world loves as its own (John 15:19).
6) “A great palace [Church] engulfed in flames from top to bottom. I was very much afraid that the occupants would be burned to death [fires of Hell] because no one came forward to put out the fire” – Have any of the prelates called out Francis for his heresies? No, they are all afraid, including Pope Benedict XVI. Where is the formal correction of Francis promised by Cardinal Burke years ago? Cardinal Muller, with his wavering support of truth, even makes excuses, “[Francis] is surrounded by people who have little understanding of theology … This Pope is orthodox.” (Source)
Other interesting related news was how the Vatican bank was disallowed from the international banking community somewhat before Pope Benedict was forced to resign, then all of a sudden when he leaves, the bank is restored, while we still see scandal and lack of transparency up to this day.
Attentive readers will recall Pope Benedict’s statement upon valid appointment as Pontiff on 24 April 2005:
“Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves.” (Source)
Unfortunately Pope Benedict XVI did exactly that, and what Pope Peter (the First) did, flee under pressure. But just like the first Pope Peter, he will return and be martyred for the faith, as explained by the secret of Fatima. Notice the strange wording: “a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’.” Normal wording would be simple and clear, such as the Pope in white. Normal bishops are not allowed to wear white, only the Pope. Pope Benedict XVI still wears white, and has a title never before present in the Tradition – capital ‘T’ – of the Church, Pope Emeritus. That itself is a sign of something wrong, a first time novelty.
And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it’ a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. It is time to remove the blinders or Francis-colored glasses and see the truth.
