There is an old adage that militaries set themselves up for failure by preparing to fight the last war. When it comes to 21st Century warfare, the problem however may not be with looking back, but that we aren’t looking back far enough.
For the last two decades, leaders in London and Washington have become focused on operations in places like Sierra Leona, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Syria, where the worry was, and is, weak and imploding states.

Neanche in Corea del Nord. Terza puntata delle fake news di Viganò. A quando le dimissioni? Mons.Viganò è stato praticamente mollato da tutti: persino dai fedelissimi corifei dell'attuale corso (v. QUI ;  gli altri post di MiL sulla figuraccia planetaria : QUI ; QUI e QUI ). Ora è possibile leggere il testo completo della lettera di Benedetto XVI , censurato da Mons.Viganò, anche su : Il Sismografo QUI ; Avvenir e QUI ; Agenzia Sir QUI ;  Vatican Insider QUI ; Vatican News QUI ecc ecc. Eppure il Prefetto della Segreteria per la Comunicazione, mons.
